A chanced meeting of one of the Founders of Agrorite with one Mr. Ule, a small holder farmer in Benue laid the foundation for the incorporation of Agrorite.
Mr. Ule was a yam farmer in Benue state (the state popularly referred to as the food basket of the nation), and was burdened by the known challenges affecting small holder farmers in Africa, but most especially the challenges of post harvest waste made worse by a lack of access to profitable markets. After a strenuous yam production cycle and having succeeded against all the odds, upon harvest, Mr. Ule was forced to sell at the least profitable prices in order not to loose entirely as he could not access more profitable markets and the option of warehousing will eat deep into any profits that could be realized.
The strategy of connecting to premium market actualized the quest for profitability of that farming cycle by Mr. Ule and became the very first case for Agrorite. As such in the past four years, we have perfected our strategies and realized huge successes and can only do better.
